Even if issues do still occur, they’ll often be much cheaper to fix because you’ll notice them earlier.

Cooling

During our AC maintenance check-ups, we check refrigerant levels by either a temperature split or gauges or both, check return air duct sizing and return air grill sizes, and check compressor, condensing fan motor, and blower motor amp draw and capacitors to make sure they are in the range of manufacturer specifications. We check the thermostat calibration, the secondary drain pan, and water test condensation drain lines. We will perform a static pressure test. We will recommend anything we find to be out of manufactures ranges or not to industry standards.

Heating

On a heat pump, we check the same as cooling, plus we check the defrost cycle. For heating with gas furnaces, we check the flame sensor, pressure switch, hot surface ignitor (ohm), temperature rise, and shut down cycle of the gas furnace.

We recommend carbon monoxide monitors, not detectors. We can explain the difference.

Drew was awesome, he responded immediately to my Inquiry on a Sunday night and came out Monday Morning. We checked out my AC unit which was having issues and diagnosed that the Compressor was out. Drew and Tru Comfort have been great. My old HVAC started leaking, so I solicited a number of bids. Tru Comfort not only had a very competitive bid, but they were also the most thorough. They gave me 6 options so I could figure out the exact system mix I wanted, each with full AHRI efficiency ratings. Drew also did the opposite of upselling me, talking me out of some of the more expensive options. And his bid included extra work like re-running lines to the thermostat as they were starting to look pretty dodgy.Install was quick and easy, and so far the system is working great.

Found Tru comfort heating and cooling on google. I was needing a repair of my heater. I wasn't interested in calling the company I had used for several years due to things not getting repaired very well and always getting an upsell pitch instead. Gave Tru comfort a call because of their reviews. I figured it couldn't be any worse than what I had tried. Drew, responded and evaluated the problem and had a solution immediately. He diagnosed and fixed the problem, no upsell, no song and dance. Just fixed it (earlier than expected) and explained everything very well. The response certainly gained my trust in in their company. I will use them from now on. The difference here is they do not work on commission, they are highly trained and will be honest. You will not be sorry.

Recently had the AC unit replaced in October by a different company but was having some troubles with the fan constantly running despite reaching the appropriate temperature. A friend had also had their unit replaced by this company and complained about needing to call them out many times to work on it. I decided to go with Tru Comfort instead and get the job done right the first time. Turns out the original company never replaced the wiring appropriately and did not even connect all the wires up. Drew showed me pictures of how the wiring was exposed, and due to fading in the sun, you could not even tell the colors of the wire to connect properly. We redid the wiring completely and installed the appropriate thermostat so that I could have heat. Drew had to work late to make sure the work got done and checked in the following day to ensure it was performing as it should be. I was grateful with the install since the kids will be returning back to the home with me for the next week. Very professional and helpful.
